We constantly seek ways to use our talents and resources to give back to our community at Redstamp. Our company has created and provided the majority of funding for a nonprofit foundation, of which at least 10% of company profits (or 2% of sales) are donated yearly. As a testament to our commitment to giving back, Cape, Redstamp's in-house nonprofit foundation was founded in 2021 and will be publicly announced in 2022. In addition to our own nonprofit venture, Redstamp has publicly supported several nonprofit organizations.
Dan's Legacy is a nonprofit foundation providing effective counseling, education, and vocational programs to at-risk youth in Metro Vancouver. In June of 2021, Kelso Kennedy, one of our co-founders, was welcomed to the organization's Board of Directors.
Redstamp is a proud member of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, a nonprofit organization promoting local business throughout Port Moody, Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam. With over 900 members spanning various industries and business models, the Tri-Cities Chamber operates under the mission of serving as a resource and guiding light to a thriving business community.
In the summer of 2021, Daniela, a 6-year-old Inuk child from Ottawa, Ontario, raised an impressive $2,500 for the Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS) through her lemonade stand. In support of Daniela's tenacity, Redstamp matched her donation to the IRSSS and challenged other tech businesses in our community to match our donation.
Living on traditional territory in remote Northern British Columbia, Elliot uses social platforms like YouTube and Instagram to share an Indigenous perspective on the northern Canadian lifestyle, showcasing cultural practices, hunting, fishing, and more. In support of his content, Redstamp donated a laptop to Elliot, allowing him to save hours traveling to and from a library to edit his work.
In addition to our external ventures, Redstamp has also operationalized our values of #curious #resourceful #fair #tenacious through our employee rewards program. Using the HeyTaco Slack integration, team members can give and receive digital tokens (—or tacos) to reward one another for their exceptional work. Additionally, Redstampers can exchange HeyTaco digital currency for e-gift cards or donations to charitable causes. More often than not, the Redstamp team chooses to donate their tacos to various philanthropic causes, showcasing the Redstamp team's commitment to nonprofits and giving back whenever possible.
